Edvin & Nicholas, Glad you are planing NWP in 2011. Another Swedish yacht “Anna” that winters now at Inuvik will be concluding the passage westbound this year. I have been helping the crews of NWP over the years and I do it as many of my personal friends have done it. Kpt. Jacobson in 1985-88 with “Vagabond”, Kpt. Natanek in 2006 with “Nekton” and another Polish yacht “Stary” in 2006. “Dagmar Aean”, “Solanus” and others. I am located in Mississauga (next to Toronto), Ontario. Your preparations look just right and don’t forget about engine, it has to withstand at least 500 hrs. through the Passage. I am ready to help you if anything as I have plenty of experience to relay the advise and notes.
Another boat will be concurring the Passage this year, it is Italian boat “Best Expedition”. “Issuma” will not be doing NWP this year. If you need any additional information please contact me. Cheers, Victor
Can I use one of the images from your website in the upcoming issue of Yachting Magazine? I would like to feature your journey in our “Currents” Section. Thanks a lot for your help and good luck.
